Construction Lien Law
The Michigan Construction Lien Act, MCL §570.1101 et seq., provides a statutorily-created form of security against real estate in favor of contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, laborers and design professionals who have improved real estate, but have not been paid.
Construction liens are perhaps the only way a contractor can secure payment from a project owner. Despite the importance of these legal instruments, recording and perfecting construction liens can prove difficult and complications can often arise.
Laidler Law Office is experienced in filing construction liens and defending against them. We also pride ourselves on our ability to foster a resolution short of taking court action. We assure all clients that we will provide the highest quality of representation in such matters.
